Our Story

“Richard Parsons was a world-renowned Fortune 100 corporate giant, businessman, philanthropist, jazz enthusiast, and mentor. Learning that he established a world-class winery in Italy showed me that entrepreneurship is not just about building businesses, but about redefining what’s possible with vision, ingenuity, and resilience. Inspired by this, winemaking became a way for me to unite my passions for art, jazz, and wine, while honoring the entrepreneurial spirit and resilience of Tulsa’s Greenwood District and sharing its history with others.” — Wayne Perry

About Our Family Legacy

In 2019, Lord & Perry Estate Vineyards was established after Wayne purchased a vineyard property in Healdsburg, California. The estate property is in the heart of Sonoma County’s renowned Alexander Valley, where it cultivates and produces estate Merlot in ultra-limited quantities.

Inspired by his grandfather, Harris Perry Sr., who owned a successful carpentry business in Tulsa during the early 1900s, Wayne created Lord & Perry to honor the visionaries and entrepreneurs of Tulsa’s historic Greenwood District, also known as Black Wall Street — one of the most prosperous communities in American history.
